Membership Information
The Dunes & Dreams chapter of the Romance Writers of America requires its members to first be a member of Romance Writers of America®. If you aren't a member, you can download the application here.
Dunes & Dreams is proud to adhere to bylaws that promote all levels of professional support, sharing of industry knowledge, integrity and mutual respect for all its members. Dunes & Dreams offers two levels of membership:
GENERAL MEMBERSHIP: General membership shall be open to all persons seriously pursuing a romance fiction writing career, except where noted below. Only General Members shall have the right to vote and hold office.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP: Associate membership shall be open to (1) all other individuals who support the chapter and its purposes but do not meet the requirements for General membership and (2) professionals in publishing or related industries, including acquiring editors, agents and booksellers, and their employees, whether or not they are seriously pursuing a romance fiction writing career, and who support the chapter and its purposes. Associate members shall not have any voting rights or the right to hold office and must notify the Board and General membership of their position in the publishing industry.

Dunes & Dreams membership dues are currently $25 for general members and $20 for associate members.
Membership eligibility terms: All individuals who have attained the age of 18 and who agree to accept the purposes of RWA and this chapter and to faithfully observe and be bound by the Bylaws of this chapter shall be eligible to apply for membership. Membership shall not be denied to adults because of race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, marital status, sexual preference, disability, or political affiliation.
Members agree to support their fellow writers by maintaining professional interactions, by honest conduct, mutual respect and concern in order to foster a community of on-going support, camaraderie and growth.
